The BBC reports that FanCentro launched legal action in Florida against OnlyFans’ owner Leonid Radvinsky and the company which receives OnlyFans’ payments, Fenix Internet LLC, back in November, but it has only been reported now. The suit alleges that OnlyFans instructed an unnamed social media company to flag content from adult creators who promoted rival platforms so it would be added to the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT) database....

The Core i9-12900KS utilizes the best 12900K silicon to produce a binned Special Edition of the latter chip that clocks slightly higher: 5.5 GHz turbo and 3.4 GHz base frequencies, compared to the original’s 5.2 GHz turbo and 3.2 GHz base. We weren’t overly impressed with the small performance uplift offered by the Core i9-12900KS over the K version when you consider how much it costs—around $800—though we did note that price is likely worth it for extreme overclockers....

This week, Blizzard told Eurogamer that it would take the first game offline about 27 hours before making Overwatch 2 playable, which could be October 2 or October 3, depending on the time zone. Sometime before then, Blizzard will give players a clear timetable and checklist of steps to migrate their games smoothly....
Native iOS controls Even without using third party software, iOS has a surprising amount of controls that might just do the trick if you’re trying to save money. Under Settings > General > Restrictions, you can place controls on almost every aspect of the device. You can allow/disallow Safari, FaceTime, Camera, and even Siri (useful to avoid hearing your children yell at their device all day). Not only can you control if your children can download media or apps, but you can prevent them from uninstalling apps period (I’m sure kids would much rather have Netflix than educational apps)....

It surveyed 1,617 Americans about their views on personal data and content ownership. Like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport before it, Project CARS intends to deliver a highly realistic driving simulation. But to distinguish it from the pack, developer Slightly Mad Studios has made the game an open experience that allows players to choose from a variety of motorsports paths and grants immediate access to all tracks and vehicles. Project CARS has been funded by the community and developers without financial aid of a publisher, which is the traditional route....
Even at 1080p using clear conditions we find that Project CARS is very demanding. Most GPUs fall well short of 60fps, with the (previous generation) GTX Titan averaging 59fps. The GeForce GTX 970 did well, averaging 70fps and putting it just ahead the GTX 780 Ti and matching the GTX 980. Evidently there is a bottleneck limiting performance at around 70fps as the GTX Titan X was only good for 72fps....
Copying large files on the QNAP HS-210 is quite slow. We saw a transfer speed of just 26.4MB/s, only 15% faster than the TS-220 while being 14% slower than the TS-221 and 44% slower than the DS214play. Installing Seagate’s NAS drives boosted performance by 22% allowing for a throughput of 32.1MB/s. The HS-210 delivered similar performance to the TS-220 in our game copy test but it was much slower than the TS-221 and its throughput of 19....

Well, for starters it’s a monitor with a simple product name, so at least that’s a positive. Well, maybe not a complete positive as there’s a new version and an old version. The one we’re testing today with a 165Hz refresh rate was released in 2021, while the older Raptor 27 from 2019 sports a 144 Hz refresh rate – we never reviewed that one....
Someone posted an extremely rare find on Monday to the r/vintagecomputing subreddit. Reddit user “c-wizz” shared photos of two vintage computers discovered in his grandparents’ basement. One was a PDP-8/e (masthead left), but what really drew the attention of both c-wizz and other Redditors was the second computer, the LGP-30. The LGP-30 began production in 1956 and sold for approximately $47,000. After adjusting for inflation, the LGP-30 would cost nearly $513,000 in today’s money....
Cyan Inc. is partnering with Austin-based studio Mighty Coconut to create a 36-hole Myst-themed course for VR standout Walkabout Mini Golf. Myst debuted on the Macintosh in 1993, pushing the limits of what was possible at the time. The graphic adventure puzzle game was a visual masterpiece unlike anything seen up to that point. It was so advanced that even developer Cyan wasn’t sure if it would work until very late into the project....
CNN reports that in addition to looting residences, Russian troops have increasingly been stealing farm equipment, hundreds of thousands of tons of grain, and building materials in Ukraine. One incident in Melitopol saw a Russian military transport used as part of a heist on a John Deere dealership: a flatbed truck with the letter Z painted on the side. The symbol has been used to show support for the invasion and was why a Russian pro Dota 2 player was dropped from his team over the weekend....
Despite being capable of utilizing high-end hardware, modern titles such as Battlefield 1, F1 2016, Total War: Warhammer, The Witcher 3, Overwatch and Far Cry Primal don’t punish entry-level hardware to the point of becoming obsolete. The developers have achieved a happy medium. When playing those titles with a mid-range GPU such as the GTX 1060, we found little difference between the Pentium G4560 and Core i5-7400. The same was true for the quad-core chip Ryzen 5 1400, though that model also supports eight threads....
Moreover, rather than simply testing the more theoretical 1080p resolution which helps avoiding bottlenecks in graphics tests, we have added 1440p results as well. As for quality settings, we didn’t stick to the usual ultra-type settings, instead finding it convenient to cover ultra, high and medium type presets for the purpose of showing scaling results. All up this leaves us with four GPUs to test at two resolutions with three quality presets....
Here’s how the 2400G and 2200G perform with the integrated Vega GPU disabled and replaced with the Radeon RX 550. The 2200G was just 8% faster with the discrete graphics card installed, so that really speaks to just how impressive the integrated Vega GPU is. Similarly, the 2400G only saw an improvement of 4%, so the integrated Vega GPU is basically an RX 550, as suspected. That said, at 1080p we see the benefits of local GPU memory as the RX 550 starts to pull ahead....
The Ryzen 3 2200G is coming in at just $99 and the Ryzen 5 2400G is $169, and both appear to be a great value. For comparison, the Pentium G4560 currently costs $80, can be installed on a $50 H110 motherboard and is complemented well by a GT 1030 for $90, so all up a $220 combo. The Ryzen 5 2400G offers a similar gaming experience and vastly superior productivity performance, but it costs just $20 more, so $240 with a B350 motherboard....

The game lands on Steam and the Epic Game Store on October 27 for $59.99, just a week after another big Sony title — Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a family-friendly single-player and co-op platformer starring the mascot of Sony’s level-building game franchise, LittleBigPlanet.
