In Win D Frame Red Case Review

Before last year, no In Win cases really caught our attention. That changed when we spotted the open-air X-Frame midway through 2012. Although the X-Frame was fairly featureless and extremely expensive, its unusual construction proved interesting enough to win over many enthusiasts. Following the X-Frame’s success, In Win introduced the H-Frame – a similarly unique and equally pricey chassis with a feature list that includes eleven diamond-cut aluminum plates. Although we didn’t review those products, they certainly piqued our interest enough that we had to lay hands on the D-Frame, In Win’s latest open-air chassis and its finest creation yet in our opinion....

Intel Core I5 750 Processor Review Power Consumption

The power consumption levels for the Core i5 750 processor and the new P55 chipset are very impressive. At idle our Core i5 box consumed 106 watts, while increasing to 198 watts under load. Compared to the equally clocked Core i7 920, the Core i5 750 is far less power hungry. Compared to older platforms, the Core i5 750 used less power than even the Core 2 Quad Q9650 making it the most efficient platform and processor by far in our tests....

Intel Core I7 4960X Ivy Bridge E Review New Flagship Old Flagship System Specs Memory Bandwidth

The 9% increase in clock speed paired with the 17% increase in memory frequency, plus the other efficiency improvements the Ivy Bridge architecture provided over Sandy Bridge, allowed the Core i7-4960X to provide 17% more memory bandwidth than the i7-3960X. With a total bandwidth figure of 39.79GB/s, the Core i7-4960X blew everything out of the water and almost doubled the bandwidth of the i7-4770K. While we saw a massive improvement in memory bandwidth performance, the cache performance gains were only very minor....

Intel Core I7 6950X Review The First 10 Core Desktop Cpu Benchmarks Gaming

Despite Intel’s press deck suggesting the Core i7-6950X is intended for high-end gaming, it’s overkill here. When testing with Ashes of the Singularity, the 6950X offers little to nothing over the significantly cheaper 6700K. Here we see the 6950X is inferior to the 6700K when testing with Overwatch, a game that can heavily utilize 8 threads. The 6950X isn’t being utilized when testing with Grand Theft Auto V either. Offering the same performance as the 5960X, the 6950X was once again inferior to the much cheaper 6700K....

Intel Core I7 7700K Core I5 7600K Review Is This Even A Baby Step

So with the Kaby Lake and Skylake processors both locked at 4.5GHz on the same motherboard we receive pretty much the exact same scores. Where are those IPC improvements Intel? Gears of War 4 is a CPU demanding game and it will happily use all eight threads of a Core i7 processor. Here we see when matched clock-for-clock using an extreme GPU both the Kaby Lake and Skylake processors deliver the exact same performance....

Intel Pentium G4560 Kaby Lake S Real Gift Application Benchmarks

Testing with an Excel workload, the Pentium G4560 was able to roughly match the i3-4360 while it was 7% slower than the i3-6100 and 75% slower than the Core i5-7600K. Again the Pentium G4560 just trailed the i3-4360 and wasn’t a great deal slower than the AMD FX-8320E, at least in it’s out of the box configuration. Once again we find that the Pentium G4560 is just a fraction slower than the i3-4360 and this time in the 7-Zip benchmark it was just 4% slower than the i3-6100....

Intel S Sandy Bridge Microarchitecture Debuts Core I5 2500K And Core I7 2600K Cpus Reviewed

After numerous rumors and even formal announcements throughout 2010, we all knew Intel was launching their next-gen CPUs in time for CES 2011, meaning it was slated to happen the first week of the New Year. But before we delve deeper into Sandy Bridge details and performance, let’s step back to 2006, the year in which Intel transitioned from the Pentium branding for its flagship desktop CPUs and turned to the “Core” processors....

Intel Z170 Motherboard Roundup Picking Some Favorites

Looking at the most featured-packed boards, it was a close fight between the Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7, Asrock Z170 Extreme7+ and MSI Z170A Gaming M7. We feel Gigabyte delivered the goods this time and we’re glad we made the decision to purchase the Z170X-Gaming 7. The Gigabyte board is slightly cheaper than both the Asus ROG and Asrock Z170 Extreme7+ while delivering similar features. In fact, we’d argue that against the ROG Maximus VIII Hero it comes with a lot more offering dual Gigabit LAN, a better audio solution and greater storage support....

Iphone 14 Buyers Will Have A Day One Patch To Download

The iPhone 14s that early adopters receive this week won’t come with the latest version of iOS 16, according to an unofficial Apple update tracker. John Deere Provides Some Right To Repair Concessions To Customers

In a hypothetical list of companies willing to go the extra mile to lock their customers in, John Deere would place among the most serious offenders. The US corporation makes agricultural machinery and other heavy equipment, then it locks the final products so that customers will not be able to repair them without going through an authorized dealer. Things could change soon, however, as the Illinois-based corporation has entered an agreement with American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) to make some much-sought concessions to the right-to-repair movement....

Kingston Hyperx 3K 240Gb And Ssdnow V 200 240Gb Review Final Thoughts

That’s great news, as the HyperX 3K 240GB is around 17% ($55) cheaper than the 520 Series 240GB. However, even with that being the case, Kingston’s new arrival doesn’t necessarily offer the best value. At $275, the HyperX 3K 240GB is $25 spendier than Crucial’s m4 256GB and priced identically to Samsung’s 830 Series 256GB. Additionally, OCZ’s Vertex 3 240GB makes a compelling argument at $240 (13% cheaper than the 3K)....

And it does. In my time using the LG G2, I found the battery life to be excellent, easily lasting a day with any tasks that you like running in the background. Starting with the 3.5" drive bays we were surprised to learn when going over the PC-K62’s spec sheet that this case supports just four hard drives without going to the 5.25" drive bays. But opening the case up delivered an answer to our concerns. LanCool has gone with an anti-vibration design and in the process they have made it quick and easy to install and remove 3.5" drives. By removing a single thumb screw all four drive caddies can be removed from the case in seconds....

Mercedes Issues Do Not Drive Recall For Almost 300 000 Suvs Over Potential Brake Failure

Mercedes-Benz’s statement confirms that certain Model Year 2006 - 2012 ML, GL, and R-Class vehicles could have the function of their brake booster impacted by advanced corrosion in the joint area of the housing, the result of moisture that may wick under a rubber sleeve installed on the housing area. The resulting vacuum leak at the brake booster could mean more force is required to apply a vehicle’s brakes, thereby increasing stopping distances....

Meta To Start Laying Off Thousands This Week

Sources have told The Wall Street Journal that Meta will start massive layoffs as soon as Wednesday. Thousands of employees could lose their jobs in the largest-ever headcount reduction for a major tech company. Meta hired tens of thousands of employees over the last three years. This week’s broad reductions – the first in Meta’s history – may be a sign that it grew too quickly.
