We see another close battle when testing with Assassin’s Creed Unity where the R9 Fury X was just 2% faster than the GTX 980 Ti at 1600p though it did extend the margin to 9% at 4K.
We have abandoned testing Dragon Age: Inquisition with its built-in benchmark as we found it considerably more demanding than the actual gameplay and for some reason favored Nvidia cards much more so than the actual gameplay. That said, when running at 1600p the R9 Fury X was still 16% slower than the GTX 980 Ti. That margin was reduced to 11% at 4K but it looks like Dragon Age plays better on the GTX 980 Ti.
