Unsurprisingly, the Titan was the fastest single-GPU card tested with an average of 47.6fps in Far Cry 3 at the higher of our two resolutions, topping the GTX 680 by 51% and the HD 7970 GHz Edition by 37%, though it was still bested by dual HD 7870s, GTX 660 Tis and HD 7950 Boosts by 3%, 4% and 16%, respectively.
Despite taking fourth place in our 2560x1600 fps testing, the Titan topped our frame latency chart with 24.9ms on average between frames, 28% better than the GTX 680, 24% better than the HD 7970 GHz Edition, and 47% better than the tested Crossfire setups.
The GTX Titan averaged 70.3fps in Max Payne 3 at 2560x1600, trailing the dual GTX 660 Tis by 2%, the HD 7870s by 5% and the HD 7950 Boosts by 15%, but outdoing the GTX 680 and HD 7970 GHz Edition by 36% and 28%.
Once again, we find when looking at the 99th percentile frame times, the GTX Titan has jumped from fourth place in the fps data to first, this time with an average of 15.1ms between frames, 7% better than the GTX 660 Ti SLI cards. Whereas the Titan was 15% slower than the dual HD 7950s in fps averages, it’s 30% quicker when comparing frame time performance.
