We were quite impressed with the results when running Call of Duty: World at War. At 1680x1050, AMD’s latest graphics card was just 4fps slower than the higher-end Radeon HD 5870, while it was able to beat the GeForce GTX 285 by 5fps. It was also 4fps faster than the GeForce GTX 285 at 2560x1600, but slipped further behind the Radeon HD 5870 when using this resolution.
In Company of Heroes we see the Radeon HD 5850 beat Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 285 by a 25% performance margin at 2560x1600. The card was still 26% slower than the Radeon HD 5870 and 14% slower compared to the dual-GPU Radeon HD 4870 X2.
