Here the Core i7-7700K was 8% faster than the 6700K while the 7600K was just 2% faster than the 6600K.
Life Sciences includes Lammps, NAMD, Rodinia (heartwall, lavamd, hotspot,srad), Medical Viewset and IOMeter (life sci trace). Again Kaby Lake only offers a small performance gain over Skylake.
In Financial Services (Monte Carlo, Black Scholes and Binomial) the 7700K was 12% faster than the 6700K which is interesting. The 7600K was also 8% faster than the 6600K.
The general operating test suite includes: 7-Zip, Python, Octave and IOMeter (gen ops trace). This time the 7700K and 6700K both delivered very similar performance while the 7600K was 7% faster than the 6600K.
Finally, the media and entertainment benchmark includes testing with the following applications: Blender, HandBrake, LuxRender, IOMeter and Maya. This comprehensive test gave the Core i7-7700K a score of 5.73pts, or 9% faster than the 6700K.
